Ryan, I’m pretty sure you’d draw comcis regardless of whether or not you made money at it. So, since money presumably isn’t the point, you could see it as a hobby. To call it a hobby trivializes it, though. The vast majority of good art is made by people who aren’t doing it to make money. If you make good art that fulfills you, which I think you do, it ain’t no hobby. That doesn’t mean other people will see it that way, but who cares what other people think? The business of selling your art is a whole separate thing from making the art THAT part may be a hobby, and can be a whole lot less fulfilling.
