How to Color

Hey Toonhooligans!
Some folks asked how we colored our comics, so I put up a little walkthrough of my process. I thought it might be interesting to pull the moldy curtains back and show you folks how the magic is done over here at ToonHole. You can see the demo HERE.
I got a chance to color John’s wonderful Meaning of Life comic. It’s one of my favorites!

Do you guys use a program and a graphics tablet to make your comics?
Hey Brian! We use a couple methods for our comics, depending on what the gag calls for.
For most of my comics, I ink them traditionally, scan it in, and then use Photoshop to color them. I have a Wacom Cintiq, which is a large screen that you can draw directly on. I learned on a Wacom Graphire tablet tho, so that’d be a great place to start.
